James R. Kirkpatrick is a Senior Vice President of CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance Group. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Kirkpatrick was a Vice President of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC. Grandbridge acquired Live Oak Capital, Ltd., in December of 2008, where he served in the same capacity. Through his tenure at Grandbridge and Live Oak Capital, Mr. Kirkpatrick was a top producer with responsibilities including debt originations, joint venture and equity placement.
Before joining Live Oak Capital in 2001, Mr. Kirkpatrick managed the Houston office of Butler/Burgher Group, a regional real estate appraisal/consulting firm. His responsibilities included office management, appraisal review and client relations.
Mr. Kirkpatrick graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977 with a B.B.A. in real estate and finance. He holds both the MAI and CCIM designations, is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas and is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.
