Joe Connolly

Joe is First Vice President for CBRE’s Auto Dealership Capital Markets team and is based in its Newport Beach, CA office. He commands unparalleled experience in dealership finance and real estate, making Joe uniquely positioned to work directly with dealer principals throughout the U.S. With a 32-year history of providing complex finance packages for buy/sells, floorplan, real estate, and workouts, Joe is responsible for the entire life cycle of the team’s client relationship from procurement to identification of needs, matching of solutions, and execution.

Joe was previously with BMO Harris Bank as a Managing Director of their Dealer Finance group. With his reputation for transparency and fair-dealing, Joe was responsible for transforming BMO as a major player in the U.S. auto lending arena in the Western U.S., expanding a $55 million loan portfolio to $1.5 billion over an 10-year period.

Prior to joining BMO, he worked for Capital Automotive Real Estate Services, Inc. (CARS) procuring and transacting on dealership sale-leaseback transactions in the Western region of the U.S. Joe began his career with Comerica Bank in 1991 and began originating automotive loans in 1994 in FL and from 1998-2001 in CA.
