Joe Simpson leads CBRE’s NE Florida Investment Property - Retail team. The North Florida team focuses on retail investment sales within the Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Gainesville, & Daytona markets with a hyper-focus on the First Coast Communities.
Joe is Chairman of the Legislative Board of the CCIM North Florida District and maintains deep relationships within Real Estate focused Venture Capital and Real Estate Private Equity. In his career, Mr. Simpson has counselled on the disposition of over $300 million in assets. He is a native of the First Coast, acutely in tune with his market, and a salient member of the North Florida Community.
In his early career, Joe worked internationally as a Wilderness Expedition Leader. In his role, he was single point accountable for the lives and safety of his crew, managing and stress testing risk profiles, behavioral management, and the successful execution of the mission. Before joining CBRE, Mr. Simpson began his real estate career at Hixon Properties, a privately held investment company specializing in infill development projects. In his role as Advisory Director, he counseled on the master development of a contiguous 11.5-acre planned community in the central business district of downtown San Antonio, portfolio direction, and the disposition of commercial real estate assets. Mr. Simpson joined CBRE, Inc. early in 2021 after three years as a top producer at Marcus & Millichap's Southeast Retail Group, specializing in multi-tenant retail investment sales throughout the Southeast.
