Jonathan Greenberg joined CBRE in 2000, specializing in multifamily property sales throughout the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area. Mr. Greenberg is currently an Executive Vice President with the CBRE Mid-Atlantic Multifamily Investment Properties Team.
Mr. Greenberg focuses on multifamily dispositions through exclusive listings in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Greenberg concentrates on institutional as well as private capital multifamily investment sales. Mr. Greenberg has considerable experience in evaluating rent control and tenant’s rights issues and how they apply to the valuation of multifamily property in the District of Columbia. Furthermore, Mr. Greenberg has completed transactions throughout Northern Virginia as well as Fredericksburg, Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Williamsburg, Norfolk and Hampton Roads submarkets of central and southern Virginia.
Mr. Greenberg has completed transactions involving more than 1,113 communities with an aggregate value exceeding $53.8 billion since 2001 with the Mid-Atlantic Multifamily Investment Properties Team. Mr. Greenberg has been part of the largest CBRE Investment Sales Transaction in the Washington region in the years 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2017. In addition, Mr. Greenberg has been part of the largest single-community multifamily sale in the Mid Atlantic in 2020 and 2021.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Greenberg worked with a boutique Washington, DC law firm specializing in energy regulatory law whose clients included Shell Oil and the California Department of Water Resources. Mr. Greenberg received a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
