Leo van den Thillart

Leo has more than 20 years’ experience in the alternatives asset management industry, holding senior management roles. He is a skilled business builder with extensive strategic, capital formation, product development, manager M&A and alternative investments advisory experience. Throughout his career, he has raised over $250 billion of capital across funds, co-investments and direct investments.

Previously, Leo served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner for Sera Global. Prior to that, he was a Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management and served as Global Head of Brookfield’s Private Funds Group from 2009 through 2020. During his tenure, Leo was instrumental in expanding Brookfield’s Private Funds Group, overseeing global marketing strategy, fundraising, and product development for the firm’s private funds.

In addition to his professional achievements, Leo actively contributes to the community as a member of the Board and Foundation Investment Committee member for the Menninger Clinic, a top-ranked psychiatric hospital. He also serves as a Board and Investment Committee member for CABHI (Centre of Aging & Brain Health Innovation), a solution accelerator dedicated to driving innovation in the aging and brain health sector.
