Melissa Cox serves as Vice President of Corporate Communications for CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business segment. GWS is a global, integrated, full-service real estate outsourcing business serving the world’s largest real estate occupiers in more than 100 countries. Its services include facilities management, project management and transaction services for local and multinational occupier clients around the world.
Melissa joined CBRE in 2018 as the first leader to provide dedicated internal and external communications support for CBRE’s Digital & Technology (D&T) organization. During her tenure, she partnered with D&T executives to build a framework for communicating to D&T employees with a focus on driving engagement and has elevated CBRE’s brand as a technology leader in the commercial real estate industry. In addition to her communications responsibilities, Melissa has taken on assignments within the D&T organization including strategic governance, leading employee engagement workstreams and, most recently, she played a key leadership role in D&T’s marketing program.
Prior to CBRE, Melissa spent 17 years at Capital One. She began her communications career at Capital One as a Communication Specialist. Communications remained a key part of her responsibilities as she progressed through the organization leading teams in program management, strategy and governance roles.
