As Vice President with CBRE Capital Markets, Michael leads a team of professionals fully dedicated to the Single-Family-Rental and Build-for-Rent sectors (“SFR”/”BFR”). The SFR/BFR team works in partnership with CBRE’s multifamily team to help new and existing clients optimize their portfolios in the SFR/BFR sectors. He and his team advise clients on SFR/BFR property acquisitions and dispositions, valuations, forward take-out opportunities, land acquisitions, capital and financing placement, market insights, and underwriting review. While Michael’s focus is primarily on the Southeastern US, he also serves in an advisory role supporting clients across the country.
Prior to joining CBRE, Michael worked with TPA Residential (residential arm of TPA Group), a multifamily and SFR development firm in Greater Atlanta, where he focused on project capitalization and pre-development efforts as the company grew from inception to $750M in AUM over a two-year period. While at TPA Residential he also assisted in the sale of a large BTR portfolio. Michael spent the first five years of his career in acquisitions with Chartwell Holdings, an owner/operator of value-add multifamily properties concentrated in the Southeastern and Northeastern U.S.
Michael is active in the Atlanta real estate community and in his free time enjoys golfing, skiing, fishing, hunting, live music, exercise and is active in the church.
