Michael Sherman is a Senior Vice President in CBRE Capital Markets’ New York office. Over the course of his 42-year career as a mortgage broker, he has arranged more than $15.0 billion of debt and equity transactions.
Prior to joining CBRE Capital Markets in July 2003, Mr. Sherman spent nine years as a Senior Managing Director in Insignia/ESG’s Finance and Capital Markets Group, where he was responsible for mortgage placements. Prior to Insignia/ESG, he held a similar position at Cushman and Wakefield, Inc. and was a partner at Sonnenblick Goldman Co. Mr. Sherman began his career in commercial property finance at Cooper Horowitz, Inc.
Mr. Sherman has been a guest speaker at the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration—his alma mater—as well as New York University Real Estate Institute and Columbia University Graduate School of Business, in addition to numerous real estate conferences.
