Professional Experience
Morgan Abbott’s career spans the real estate and golf industries. His well-rounded experience includes asset management, club management and golf market research. Morgan handled the management and marketing of large, mixed-use real estate portfolios for many years before adding public golf courses and private country clubs to the mix, transitioning to private club management and finally national golf market research. He has developed a niche over the last ten years and today is considered an expert in golf market research and analysis. Immersed in the golf industry since 1989, Morgan has been involved in many aspects of the business, including the administration of PGA and LPGA golf tournaments in San Diego. He has written many industry articles, several of which have been published.
Morgan joined CBRE in 2005 and handles marketing, research and client communications for the talented Golf & Resort Group, which is backed by the platform and resources of the world’s largest real estate services firm. Morgan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University Long Beach, where he pitched for the 49ers baseball team. He has taken additional classes through the MBA program at Pepperdine University, as well as continuing education classes in valuation, finance and media relations.
