CBRE Appoints Susan Bands as Managing Director in South Florida

CBRE announced that Susan Bands has been appointed Managing Director for the company’s advisory business in the South Florida region.

Together with South Florida Senior Managing Director Josh Bank and Fort Lauderdale Managing Director David Bateman, Ms. Bands will support the company’s day-to-day business operations, sales management, business development growth strategies and recruiting activities across all business segments for its four South Florida-area offices.

Ms. Bands was with Marcus and Millichap for the past 18 years, most recently serving as the Regional Manager for its Manhattan, New York, Westchester, New York and New Haven, Conn., offices, where she was responsible for leading their business operations. Additionally, she launched their internal women’s network, newsletter and mentorship program.

“Susan is an innovative and enthusiastic leader, and widely regarded for her industry expertise and advocacy around the development and advancement of women in commercial real estate,” said Josh Bank, senior managing director for CBRE’s South Florida offices. “Susan complements our regional leadership team and will be integral in growing our business and recruiting top talent in South Florida.”

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bands worked with Forest City Ratner Companies as Director of Sales and Marketing for its New York hotel developments, and with Grubb & Ellis as Associate Managing Director of Investment Sales.

Ms. Bands earned a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University.

Ms. Bands has relocated to South Florida from New York.
