CBRE Arranges Sale of West Loop Property

CBRE has arranged the sale of a 20,000 square foot office building on 17,500 square feet of land in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. The Boy Scouts of America’s Pathway to Adventure Council sold the property to Kensington School in a transaction that closed December 28, 2022. A sale price was not disclosed.
CBRE’s Tom Svoboda and Phil DeBoer represented the seller, The Boy Scouts of America’s Pathway to Adventure Council, in the transaction.
The property served as the Boy Scouts of America’s Pathway to Adventure Council’s Chicago headquarters since 1995. Located at 1218 W Adams, the building resides in one of the most sought-after submarkets in Chicago. The buyer, Kensington School, has plans to redevelop the property.
Subsequently, Tom Svoboda represented the Boy Scouts of America’s Pathway to Adventure Council in the purchase of an 8,200 square foot office suite at 1100 W Washington in Chicago’s West Loop. The transaction closed January 5, 2023, and a sale price was not disclosed.
