CBRE Expands Debt and Structured Finance Team in Atlanta
The new group has been one of the largest and most active financing teams in the Southeast
May 5, 2022

CBRE today announced it is expanding its Atlanta Debt and Structured Finance team with Mike Ryan and Brian Linnihan joining as Vice Chairman and Richard Henry and Blake Cohen joining as Senior Vice Presidents.
The team joins CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield’s Debt & Structured Finance practice in Atlanta and will strategically integrate with CBRE Atlanta’s market-leading debt and structured finance teams. The team has extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry and specializes in providing financing solutions for all types of commercial assets primarily located throughout the Southeast.
“Mike, Brian, Richard and Blake are extremely accomplished and respected senior executives with a deep understanding of the debt and structured finance sector,” said David Lanier, Senior Managing Director for CBRE in Atlanta. “They will further expand and differentiate the breadth of strategic advice we provide to our clients throughout the Southeast.”
The team will compliment CBRE’s national debt and structured finance teams that closed $43 billion in loan production and $17 billion in agency debt in the U.S. during 2021. Over the last five years, the team has worked on some of the Southeast’s largest and most high-profile deals. They have handled over 225 deals representing nearly $16 billion in transaction volume. Mr. Ryan was most recently a Vice Chairman and opened the firm’s Atlanta office in 2008. Mr. Linnihan also served as a Vice Chairman and previously held positions with Corporex Capital, LLC and The Opus Group.
Mr. Henry served a Senior Director and prior to that spent 12 years with J.P. Morgan. Mr. Cohen served as a Managing Director and has worked in capital markets for over 16 years, previously holding positions with Voya Investment Management and RR Donnelley Global Real Estate Services.
