CBRE Promotes Scott Peterson to Vice Chairman

CBRE recently announced Scott Peterson had been promoted to Vice Chairman, the highest title for producers at the company.

A 20-year veteran with CBRE, Mr. Peterson is a consistent producer in CBRE's Capital Markets and Debt & Structured Finance division. He has raised more than $13 billion in commercial mortgage debt and equity in varying property types across the country.

"Scott is a respected industry leader in San Diego," said John Frager, Executive Managing Director for CBRE's San Diego office. "His expertise and detailed understanding of both the capital markets and commercial real estate fundamentals has led him to be a consistent top producer nationally for CBRE."

Mr. Peterson has worked on many notable transactions at CBRE, including several multifamily portfolios worth over $100 million each in financing and other prominent local developments. In addition to commercial financing, he has developed a successful multifamily practice, financing large apartment properties as a direct lender through Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

During his tenure, CBRE has awarded Mr. Peterson the Southern California MVP Award for Debt & Structured Finance and the Regional Annual RISE Award for Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. He was also named among the top 10% of the company's producers nationally and a top producer in its San Diego office. He has been selected as a Top Commercial Real Estate Leader by the San Diego Daily Transcript and honored by the Real Estate Forum on its 40 under 40 list.

Mr. Peterson is a member of NAIOP, Mortgage Bankers Association, and an instructor of commercial real estate finance at the University of San Diego and serves as a mentor for students in the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business. He is a board member of the Century Club of San Diego, a nonprofit that operates San Diego's PGA Tour event, the Farmers Insurance Open. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Colorado.
