CBRE Signs Lease at Vantage South End to Relocate Charlotte Office
February 3, 2022
CBRE announced plans to move its Charlotte office to Vantage South End. The firm will relocate approximately 100 employees to 24,535 square feet on the second floor of the east tower in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The new office is part of CBRE’s Workplace360 initiative, the company’s leading-edge approach to workplace strategy, designed to promote employee flexibility, mobility and productivity.
“Employee wellbeing was at the forefront of our search for a new workplace and will continue to be a focus as we build out our space at Vantage South End,” said Compton Newman, managing director of CBRE’s Charlotte office. “Vantage South End will allow us to create a modern, healthy working environment that combines a variety of indoor and outdoor workspaces and access to the area’s best amenities.”
Workplace360 offices feature a balance of workplace settings, including both collaborative and private spaces that employees can self-select to accommodate their hour-by-hour needs. The company’s in-house Design practice will manage the workplace design and its Workplace practice will manage the workplace strategy research and change management.
“Over the past 10 years, Workplace360 has transformed how we work at CBRE and our flexible strategy enables our people to thrive,” said Peter Van Emburgh, global lead of CBRE’s corporate real estate. “The Charlotte office will feature new occupancy measurement technology that will allow us to visualize which workspaces, technology and furniture are used most often, and implement changes in future offices based on our findings.”
Vantage South End is a 635,000-square-foot mixed-use campus that comprises two 11-story office towers connected by more than an acre of outdoor greenspace. On-site amenities include outdoor terraces and seating, a wellness and fitness center, a tenant event and training center, 55,000 square feet of restaurants and amenity spaces, and a planned boutique hotel. Additionally, Vantage South End offers proximity to Uptown and the Carson Station light rail station.
CBRE’s Michael Fahey and Robert Hinton represented CBRE in the lease negotiations. Dillard Williams and Virginia Luther represented the landlord, The Spectrum Companies and Invesco.
