CBRE announced today that Alex Ruck has joined its Pittsburgh office as Vice President. Mr. Ruck will work with the company’s office investor leasing team – led by Vice Chairman Jeremy Kronman – which is currently responsible for leasing more than 15 million square feet of office space in Pittsburgh.
With more than 11 years of leasing and sales experience, Mr. Ruck joins CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield, where he handled leasing and marketing for high-profile projects including U.S. Steel Tower, RIDC Mill 19, Parkway Center and The Pickering Building, among others. He also participated in the sale of office, lab, retail and industrial properties.
“Alex’s experience working with the market’s top office investors makes him an invaluable addition to our office investor leasing team,” said CBRE’s Mamadou Baldé, Managing Director, Pittsburgh. “His background in both leasing and property management informs his work with investors, enabling them to elevate their returns while also making their tenants happy. We have no doubt his presence will strengthen the depth of service we provide this important client group.”
Prior to his time at Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Ruck spent more than nine years at Baker Young Corporation, where he provided leasing, sales and property management services for various clients and asset types. During his tenure, he oversaw all leasing activity for Indiana Regional Medical Center, focused on the sale of distressed assets for national financial institutions, and managed more than 500,000 square feet of office, medical and industrial space.
Mr. Ruck holds an MBA from Duquesne University and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Vermont. He is a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania.
