CBRE announced plans to move its Pittsburgh office to One Oxford Centre in downtown Pittsburgh. The firm will relocate approximately 90 employees to 19,158 square feet on the 40th floor of the building in the third quarter of 2022.

The new office is part of CBRE’s Workplace360 initiative, the company’s leading-edge approach to workplace strategy, designed to promote employee flexibility, mobility and productivity.

“We intentionally selected a space that would enable us to embrace a more efficient way of working and realize the potential of collaboration and connectivity among our employees. One Oxford Centre will provide that and so much more,” said Jeffrey Ackerman, managing director of CBRE’s Pittsburgh market. “Set 40 floors above the city, our new office will be a world-class work environment with access to a vibrant mix of on-site restaurants and abundant parking, which is an important benefit for our employees and clients. We look forward to joining this unique, showcase tower in the heart of Pittsburgh.”

Workplace360 offices feature a balance of workplace settings, including both collaborative and private spaces that employees can self-select to accommodate their hour-by-hour needs. The company’s in-house Design practice will manage the workplace design and its Workplace practice will manage the workplace strategy research and change management.

“Over the past 10 years, Workplace360 has transformed how we work at CBRE and our flexible strategy enables our people to thrive,” said Peter Van Emburgh, global lead of CBRE’s corporate real estate. “For new locations such as Pittsburgh, we are prioritizing high-quality healthy buildings, access to functional outdoor space, and elevated building amenities that will complement our activity-based workplace.”

One Oxford Centre is a 45-story, one-million-square-foot, mixed-use office and retail tower located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s central business district. The building includes a five-level glass plaza, the Atrium, which houses shops, restaurants, office space, a food hall, a conference center and the Rivers Club, a 73,000-square-foot private fitness, dining and social club.

CBRE’s Jamie Pivarnik represented CBRE in the lease negotiations. CBRE’s Jeremy Kronman and Andrew Miller represented the landlord, Shorenstein.

A diverse employee committee will participate in decision-making to create a unique office experience that caters to the surrounding Pittsburgh culture and history while also reflecting the CBRE brand.
