CBRE announced that Poms & Associates, a Los Angeles-based risk management and insurance brokerage firm, has signed a 25,606-sq.-ft. lease at The Park Calabasas, a 20-acre office campus in Calabasas, California.
CBRE’s Jacob Bobek and Jonathan Dezzutti represented Poms in the lease transaction. The company is relocating from Woodland Hills and reducing its office footprint by approximately 30 percent as it implements a new layout designed to accommodate a hybrid workforce.
“Our firm is excited to finalize our new headquarters office lease in Calabasas. We are creating a workplace that will foster employee collaboration, promote health and wellness, and support a hybrid work environment. This is going to be an outstanding place for our teams and employees to work,” said Dave Poms, CEO, Poms & Associates.
A survey of office occupiers conducted by CBRE this spring found that most companies (73%) plan to support a hybrid work model with employees spending part of their time in the office and part working remotely.
“Growing adoption of hybrid work is changing the way people use office space. The office is becoming a hub for technology and collaboration while heads-down work can be conducted at home or elsewhere. This is driving savvy companies like Poms to reevaluate their office needs and focus on the types of spaces, layouts and amenities that will provide the best employee experience,” said Bobek.
Located at 4500 Park Granada, The Park Calabasas is a 20-acre office campus with an on-site cafeteria, fitness center and conferencing facility. Matthew Heyn and Caitlin Hoffman from Colliers represented the landlord. The campus is walking distance to The Commons at Calabasas, one of the area’s most popular retail, dining and entertainment destinations. The site is one half-mile from U.S. 101, connecting the area to the rest of Southern California.
“We recognize the shift in how people are engaging with their office space. Poms is evolving our workplace strategy to be more collaborative and supportive of an office environment that helps promote employee wellness. The Park Calabasas Building, and the ground floor space that we will occupy, supports this strategic progression,” said Matthew Getty, CFO & COO, Poms & Associates.
