PXG Signs Lease at Westchase Shopping Center for First Houston Retail Location
International Golf Equipment & Apparel Brand Continues Rapid Store Expansion with Second Texas Location
April 25, 2022

CBRE's Sydney Dixon, Brian Ashby, and Thomas Nguyen represented PXG in site selection and lease negotiations with the landlord, Kite Realty Group Trust.
The Arizona-based brand known for its bespoke golf clubs is opening its next retail and golf-club fitting studio at 11687 Westheimer Road in Royal Oaks Village. PXG’s Houston location will include fitting bays with state-of-the-art TrackMan technology, a putter fitting studio, retail space, showroom, and customer lounge.
Bob Parsons founded PXG in 2014 to develop the world’s best golf equipment. PXG differs from many golf shops because of its direct-to-consumer business model – the company does not sell its equipment through any third-party big box stores. The company is dedicated to providing outstanding, custom-fit golf clubs to golfers of every skill level, at a variety of price points.
"PXG’s immersive store locations focusing on personalized fitting experiences and the finest golf equipment money can buy exemplify how the brand is reimagining the retail experience to disrupt the golf industry,” said Nguyen. “Houston has become a great market for expanding new retail concepts thanks to the region’s large, growing population, so it only makes sense that one of the fastest growing luxury golf brands in the world is opening here.”
PXG Houston will mark the brand’s second Texas location following the opening of a Dallas store in 2021. Currently, the company operates more than a dozen locations the country, with plans to increase its footprint to 20+ stores nationwide in 2022.
According to CBRE’s Q1 2022 Houston Retail Market Figures, the overall Houston retail occupancy rate increased by 0.9 percent in Q1 2022. The Near West submarket had the lowest vacancy rate at 3.6 percent with Near Northwest trailing behind at 4.3 percent.
