CBRE announced today that the firm has hired Executive Vice President Scott Hoffman and Senior Vice President Tyler Bensten.

Based in CBRE’s Washington, D.C. office, Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Bensten join the CBRE Mid-Atlantic region’s Advisory & Transaction Occupier business and will focus on advising occupier clients throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and across the world. Both join CBRE from Savills.

Prior to CBRE, Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Bensten worked together on some of the area’s most high-profile real estate transactions, such as Williams & Connolly’s 300,000-square-foot relocation to Phase 2 of the new Wharf waterfront development in Southwest Washington, D.C., as well as the 202,000 square foot-foot lease disposition at 655 New York Avenue, NW combined with the 150,000 square-foot long-term lease for EAB Global. Each transaction was recognized by the Washington Business Journal and CREBA as leasing transaction of the year for 2018 and 2019.

Mr. Hoffman brings more than 26 years of experience to CBRE and has completed 18 million square feet of real estate transactions, totaling over $1 billion in total value for some of the nation’s top companies, including Shearman & Sterling, Williams & Connolly, Womble Bond Dickinson, Wilkinson Stekloff, EAB Global and APCO Worldwide.

Mr. Bensten has more than 13 years of commercial real estate experience and has completed over $500 million in volume representing over three million square feet of transactions. Prior to transitioning his practice into brokerage, Mr. Bensten began his career as a valuation analyst for national accounts.
