We have surveyed 500 respondents to understand how the lockdown, declared state of emergency and full closure of non-essential retail premises has affected customer behaviour and which trends we can expect in the future.

Key findings:

  • 76% of respondents plan to return to brick and mortar stores after the end of lockdown. For almost a third of customers the move to online purchases will influence their shopping habits going forward.
  • For 77% of customers a wide selection of discounts is one of the strongest motivators to return to shopping centres. The third strongest motivator for a shopping centre visit is the food & beverage offering.
  • Majority of respondents do not plan to significantly change their frequency of cinema and F&B visits and use of shopping centre services.
