The results based on the 7th edition of How Active are Retailers report showed that 26% of retailers surveyed identified South East Asia countries as target markets for 2016.

Interest in the region appear to stem mainly from the Mid-range Fashion and Luxury & Business sectors.

48% of retailers targeting South East Asia come from Europe, ahead of the North America and Asia Pacific regions.

65% of retailers have typical store size requirements of less than 500 sqm; cautious sentiments prevail with majority of surveyed retailers targeting to open less than 10 stores in a chosen South East Asia country.
