Multi-Storey Warehouses 2016

Multi-storey warehouses are, as the name suggests, a warehouse consisting of more than one floor, which increases the usable floor space per square foot of land.

Access to the higher floors of a multi-storey warehouse is granted via two ways: ramp-up and cargo-lift.

Higher utilisation rates are important in land-constrained cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and South Korea. Multi-storey warehouses are therefore more common in Asia than in the, Pacific, US or Europe, where more land is available.
