The survey found that Hong Kong consumers are extremely tech savvy and well connected to the internet.
92% of respondents have a smartphone and over 80% have a desktop computer. Tablets have already managed to penetrate 67% of households, a figure not far behind the percentage of households with laptops (70%). Hong Kong consumers are generally very well versed in utilising the internet and social media to stay informed of new retailer openings and the latest promotions.
