CBRE Cares Chicago leads employees in philanthropic efforts at the local level in a way that both represents and serves the ideals of the CBRE Chicago community.

Goals and Objectives

Support the Needs of Our Community
We participate in several events throughout the year and partner with many local organizations including Cradles to Crayons, William F. Finkl Academy and Habitat for Humanity.

Raise Awareness
We leverage the passion and talent of our employees to promote philanthropic efforts and fundraisers in and out of the office.

Promote Positive Change
We develop our own go-getters, risk-takers and leaders to create a real benefit for those in need.

CBRE Cares is supported by CBRE Foundation, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation that funds our company’s philanthropic initiatives.

Communities in Schools

Communities in Schools

On behalf of Communities in Schools (CIS), CBRE Cares Chicago collected 262 new hygiene supplies surpassing the goal of 150 items. The supplies will benefit Chicago Public School students in North Lawndale and West Garfield Park. As the dropout prevention organization that works, CIS of Chicago serves 75,000 CPS students, helping them stay in school and on track. Since inception of their Intensive Program, fewer than 1% of students have dropped out. Thank you for your support.
Bake Sales

Bake Sales

In February, the Downtown and Oakbrook office came together to bake and sell many yummy treats. Collectively we raised over $2,000 and all proceeds will go to the Birthday Cake Foundation and Manna Ministries.

Nearly 30 CBRE volunteers participated in the 4th annual event. In just three hours, volunteers stuffed 50,000 backpacks with school supplies that will be distributed across the city to ensure Chicagoland children are prepared for the 2019–2020 school year. This is part of Cradles to Crayons’ Ready for School initiative which helps alleviate the effects of poverty on school readiness. The program distributes backpacks filled with new, age-appropriate school supplies from the event along with KidPacks filled with shoes, clothing and more.
Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity

A team of 30 strong from CBRE came together to help build affordable homes in the West Pullman neighborhood on the south side of Chicago as part of the Real Estate Build Day. The day included painting, hammering, installing windows, building walls and more. The seven homes were completed and dedicated to the families in January 2020.
