CBRE Cares Chicago wants to help everyone in need during the COVID-19 crisis, and that includes the animals in our lives. The group is gathering donations for PAWS Chicago's Community Outreach Pet Food Pantry and Emergency Relief Programs through the organization's Amazon Wishlist.

PAWS Chicago's door-to-door outreach program provides pet resources to Chicago's most under-served communities, ensuring pets remain at home with their families during times of crisis. This is especially important now, as families struggle with reduced income and shelter-at-home mandates.

Because of generous donors like CBRE employees, PAWS staff and volunteers mobilized to safely bring pet food to Chicago's underserved pet owners, making deliveries to families who would otherwise be faced with relinquishing their pet during this trying time. The families who receive this relief are in the category of the population most at risk of serious health complications due to COVID-19. Donations raised by CBRE are distributed to provide a month's worth of pet food for owners.

"Pets are a source of comfort and love in our lives, and now more than ever, we rely on their companionship," said Paige Krueger, CBRE Cares Chicago. "Our goal is to make sure those in need have the food and medical supplies to care for their pets, and PAWS Chicago is ensuring senior and underserved community members remain at home, loved by their (furry) families."
