Our Values-Driven Culture

One way we foster an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and heard—and that they belong—is through our Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs). With thousands of EBRG members across 22 EBRGs, we embrace the diverse dimensions of our people.

In addition, employee councils and steering committees support our business segments and lines of business at the local and regional levels.

We invest in our employees’ development. The core of our strategy is the view that development happens through three key activities: on-the-job learning (70%), coaching (20%) and formal training (10%). We provide employees with resources that support them in developing skills to maximize performance in their current role as well as for future roles.

We integrate employee wellbeing into every business decision, so our people experience a caring workplace culture and return home safe and well at the end of every workday. We set global standards and policies, cultivate senior leadership who establish a strong tone and ensure accountability, continually improve our safety outcomes, and share what we’ve learned as a thought leader in employee experience.

CBRE Cares

At CBRE, we take our leadership role in the commercial real estate services and investment industry to heart. That’s why we’re investing in solutions to help our communities and the people in them thrive. Our approach to philanthropy embraces this as we strive to create change that ensures a brighter future for all.

Through CBRE Cares, the company’s community investment and volunteerism program, we empower our employees to engage in meaningful volunteer opportunities and charitable giving, supporting nonprofits that resonate with them. In times of government-declared natural disaster, we swiftly activate the CBRE Employee Resilience Fund to assist colleagues in need and organize fundraisers with corporate matching to amplify our impact. Through our strategic grant program, the CBRE Thrive Fund, we partner with organizations dedicated to environmental sustainability and workforce development.
