From Apprentice to Shift Leader: Jack's Transformative Career at CBRE

Jack, a Data Centre Shift Leader in our Data Centre Solutions (DCS) group, recently shared his experiences at CBRE. After seven years at the company, Jack, whose work involves overseeing contractors, quality assurance, and ensuring high levels of service client satisfaction, has found a professional home where he feels his potential has no limit.

Jack began at CBRE as an apprentice learning the tools of the trade, but he always held much larger ambitions:

“I knew I wanted to be a shift leader from day one, so I worked hard as an apprentice and asked my shift leaders at CBRE for guidance.”

In Jack’s case, he consistently sought out his managers for guidance on what courses he should take and what skills he needed to reach his goal of becoming shift leader. He worked hard to earn the necessary certifications and to earn a promotion.

Jack describes his job as shift leader as constantly challenging him to improve his skillsets. Working at a data centre provides a stimulating environment – with a constant need to troubleshoot and fix issues – in which he thrives.
