Mel Rapton Honda

Along with Group 1 Automotive purchasing Mel Rapton Honda in Sacramento, California, the transaction included the sale of Rapton's satellite service center and a body shop in downtown Sacramento. What once was a Pontiac dealership,  switched over to a Honda dealership in late 1982. Katina and Curtis Rapton took over ownership from their father and ran the store for over 10 years.  Group 1 purchased the dealership in October 2021 and renamed the store Capital City Honda. Group 1 Automotive is a Houston-based company and is one of the leading operators in the automotive retail industry.
