- Commercial real estate investment volume increased 105% y-o-y to HK$12.3 billion in Q1 2026. While this figure was slightly higher than the quarterly average of HK$11.5 billion recorded in 2025, volume fell 43% q-o-q from the previous quarter’s high base.
- This quarter saw a total of 29 transactions, a drop of 26% q-o-q but an increase of 26% y-o-y. 14 of these deals involved financially stressed assets amounting to HK$8.7 billion.
- End-users remained the most dominant source of demand, accounting for 43% of overall investment volume.
- Hotel investment gained traction over the quarter as institutional investors targeted student hostel conversions.
