London’s sales market was relatively muted in Q1 2026. Achieved sales values across London decreased year-on-year amid higher interest rates and greater uncertainty. Prime Central sales volumes have also been impacted by the new High Value Council Tax Surcharge.

The rental market across London has been relatively robust, albeit with lower growth rates than recent years. The Renters' Rights Act will contribute to a continued supply shortage in London’s rental markets which will support future rental growth.
