Retail in Demand: Second Wind for Second-Generation F&B

Manhattan’s retail landscape has been slowly improving in the latter half of
2021, led by the food and beverage (F&B) sector. Though this sector was hit
especially hard during the pandemic, F&B has emerged as 2021’s most
active tenant category in NYC, both in terms of the number of deals
completed and square footage leased, with 81 transactions totaling 298,000
sq. ft.
