The German care sector is facing significant challenges. The demand for care places, senior housing and outpatient care is increasing, yet the supply is stagnating. The key factors are demographic development, the shortage of nursing staff and general inflation.

 

CBRE and CURACON collaborate to analyse the current situation, identify challenges and highlight opportunities in the German care sector. It is evident that reform of the care system is necessary to ensure its long-term sustainability and financial viability. There is a need for better working conditions for care workers, better support for family carers, and the sector must also remain attractive for private capital to invest in the long term.
