Professional Experience

Chris Maugeri is the head of Valuation & Advisory Services for CBRE in Latin America and oversees 12 offices in the region including offices in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Peru, Venezuela and Costa Rica. Chris was the first consultant to introduce a more institutional approach to valuation in Latin America that catered to institutional clients, including the introduction of a more sophisticated income approach using the Discounted Cash Flow Analysis, when he moved to Mexico in 2001. Chris has been involved in the valuation of income producing assets for over 24 years, 19 of those in Latin America, and his teams currently value well over US $30 billion in assets per annum. The professionals on his team include specialists in all asset types and clients include FIBRAS (REITS), private investors, developers, pension funds, private equity firms, public companies, corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies and banks.

Chris joined the CBRE team in February 2014 with an exceptional reputation within the Mexican and Latin America valuation marketplace. Chris currently leads a team of over 50 professionals in Latin America.

Chris has been involved in the valuation and analysis of a wide range of asset types, including retail, office, industrial, hotels and resorts, development land, agricultural land and special purpose properties. Chris has valued over US $30 Billion in real estate assets over the past 12 months and has also been involved in the valuation of large multi-asset real estate portfolios in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Ecuador, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua and the United States as well as performed several Highest and Best Use and Market Studies. Valuation assignments have been prepared for financing, financial reporting, acquisition, disposition, asset reviews, expropriation, due-diligence, power of sale and regulatory purposes.
