Professional Experience
Chris Zubel leads CBRE’s industrial market efforts, both leasing and capital markets, for the Chicago region. His leadership role makes him a dynamic force in one of the largest U.S. industrial markets and on the broader national scene.
With Chris at the helm, CBRE’s Chicago industrial practice group has increased its revenues by 65% since 2013. That success made him the top pick to lead CBRE’s National Industrial Investor Services practice, which spearheads high-profile projects across the country.
Throughout, he ensures CBRE delivers maximum value and optimal results for its investor clients. Recent assignments include leasing a 3,000-acre port in Salt Lake City. The 45 million-square-foot inland port—the largest west of the Mississippi—will expand the city’s industrial product by almost 50%.
Chris also serves as Executive Leader and Managing Director of CBRE’s Suburban Chicago office, and heads up the firm’s land practice. Regionally, he is the Midwest lead for CBRE Industrial & Logistics Services. He built his success at CBRE after joining its industrial practice group as an Associate in 2003.
An industry expert, Chris is frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Chicago Tribune as well as industry trade and real estate publications. In civic affairs, his liaison with the Chicago Cubs has made CBRE’s annual Charity Bash one of the industry’s biggest events. Last year’s bash drew more than 1,600 guests and raised a record $500,000 for CBRE Cares and Cubs charities.
