Michael R. Rowland, MAI, FRICS is an Executive Managing Director overseeing the Central Division and Americas Operations for CBRE’s Valuation and Advisory Group. Mr. Rowland has over 25 years of appraisal and consulting experience involving a wide variety of property types. As a member of the Investment Program Association, Mr. Rowland leads CBRE’s Net Asset Valuations initiatives and services some of the industry’s largest non-traded REITs.
He has appraised single family residences, apartments, LIHTC and HUD apartments, office buildings, medical office buildings, retail centers, industrial facilities, self-storage properties, agricultural and farm properties, residential subdivisions, vacant land, call centers, bank branches, mining properties, master planned communities, regional malls, schools, nursing homes / assisted / independent living facilities, psychiatric facilities, hotels/motels, resorts, golf courses, automobile dealerships, net leased investments, partial interests, properties encumbered by bond financing, data processing centers, cold storage facilities and special purpose properties.
He is the executive sponsor of the Seniors Housing & Healthcare Group. A network has been developed throughout the CBRE system in which appraisers are trained and maintain a consistency of valuation methodology for seniors housing and healthcare clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Rowland co-authors the CBRE Cap Rate Survey (formerly the CBRE National Investor Survey) which provides cap rates and trends for stabilized and value add Class A, B and C office, multi-housing, retail, industrial and hotel properties in the top 40 markets in the United States.
