Professional Experience

 

Sacha Zarba is a Vice Chairman in the Midtown Manhattan office of CBRE. Representing tenants in Midtown, Downtown and Midtown South, Sacha has unmatched experience in working with Manhattan’s leading innovation companies across the technology, financial and advertising and media industries.

Sacha’s expertise is well-known throughout the technology community. He is the industry’s “go-to” advisor, offering insights gained from his years of partnering with leading innovation/tech firms throughout the city.  In 2019, Sacha secured 307,000-sq.-ft. for ride-sharing giant Uber’s NYC HQ relocation to 3 World Trade Center while simultaneously expanding and restructuring the lease for long-time client, LinkedIn, at the Empire State Building—bringing the firm’s total footprint to more than 500,000 sq. ft. in the building. 

Over the last several years, Sacha has represented some of the more notable technology firms in NYC—such as Pinterest in its 90,000-sq.-ft. relocation to 1440 Broadway; Seamless Web parent Grubhub in its 82,000-sq.-ft. renewal and expansion at 5 Bryant Park; a 40,000 sq.-ft. lease for data and location analytics leader Foursquare at 50 West 23rd Street; a 100,000-sq.-ft. headquarter relocation for the fast growing men’s grooming company, Harry’s to 1 Hudson Square; a 95,000-sq.-ft new lease and HQ for PayPal at 95 Morton Street which included a private entrance and exclusive roof deck; and multiple transactions for fast growing divisions of Estée Lauder including the 85,000-sq.-ft. relocation of the MAC Cosmetics division to 1 Soho Square, Soho’s newest redevelopment, and a 45,000-sq.-ft. lease restructure for Bumble & bumble at Meatpacking District’s 415 West 13th Street.  Sacha has also recently secured the first NYC office for leading tech giant Alibaba in the Meatpacking District as well as representing Netflix in its NYC HQ relocation to Union Square’s 888 Broadway, a historic landmarked building where Netflix will occupy just over 100,000 sq. ft. 

Sacha’s client roster also includes Etsy, one of NYC’s leading technology firms and one of Brooklyn’s most significant office occupiers.  After 5 years of incremental growth and Sacha’s team coordinated a groundbreaking new location for Etsy in Brooklyn’s DUMBO Heights. The 2014 transaction—225,000 sq. ft.—represented Brooklyn’s largest deal in more than a decade and helped give birth to a new submarket in DUMBO that has since seen tremendous activity from other leading technology-related firms. 

Sacha is proud to have been able to work with many of his clients throughout the many phases of their life cycle.  This is best evidenced by his work for LinkedIn, who he has represented in NYC since 2009 - when he was tasked with finding their first office in New York - then totaling just 6,000 sq. ft.  In 2015, during LinkedIn’s path to occupying what is now over 500,000 sq. ft., Sacha’s team was awarded the industry’s most prestigious honor—REBNY’s Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award—for an important transaction that helped further chart LinkedIn’s growth and in doing so, repositioned what is arguably the world’s most famous office building.

Sacha is regularly named to CBRE’s prestigious Colbert Coldwell Circle, the company’s top 100 performers across the Americas.
