A senior member of CBRE’s Manhattan office, Adam Foster has been instrumental in shaping and transforming the Downtown market. Regarded as one of New York City’s most respected real estate experts, Adam’s extensive experience in not only the Downtown market but throughout Manhattan and the Tri-State region provides him with a deep knowledge of the industry—and he is often recognized for his creative and market-defining advice.

Throughout his career Adam been a sought-after advisor to a diverse roster of repeat clients from both the tenant and landlord side of the business—helping to shape and implement their successful real estate strategies.

The scale of Adam’s assignments ranges from single-occupancy transactions to multimarket portfolios. He regularly provides trusted counsel to organizations and owners such as Brookfield Properties, the Nightingale Group, The Paramount Group, Silverstein Properties as well as numerous local entrepreneurial owners. In addition, he has represented companies such as AXA XL, AECOM, AKF Engineers, Crum & Forster, Emblem Health, Mizuho Bank, PANYNJ and Sirius Point on multiple assignments over the course of many years.

Adam has been or is currently involved in almost 14 million sq. ft. of major asset marketing assignments in Downtown Manhattan. Milestone projects include the re-positioning of One New York Plaza in the months following Hurricane Sandy which ultimately led to 700,000 sq. ft. of new leases. One NY Plaza was considered a bellwether, leading to a wave of diversified tenants moving into lower Manhattan including McMillan Publishing (175,000 sq. ft.) and Revlon (107,000 sq. ft.) among others. Adam has been involved in every aspect of the re-letting of Silverstein properties WTC campus following the events of 9/11. He and his team have completed more than 6.5 million sq. ft. of leases with such prominent entities such as Group M (700,0000 sq. ft.), Spotify (600,000 sq. ft.), Moody’s (500,000 sq. ft.), Uber (300,000 sq. ft.) and McKinsey & Co (200,000 sq. ft.) in addition to planning for the 3,000,000-sq.-ft. 2 WTC. Adam and his team are currently representing The Paramount Group and its partners in the re-positioning of the 1.7 million-sq.-ft. 60 Wall following Deutsche Bank’s relocation.

A regular top producer at CBRE, Adam is a go-to resource for CBRE events, organizations such as the Downtown Alliance and media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal. Adam’s influence extends beyond the real estate industry and he is deeply committed to his community. He was recently named the co-chair of REBNY’s Lower Manhattan Committee, serves as an advisor for the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, is a member of his local community board, and has served as a board member for the National Development & Research Institute. His philanthropic and charitable efforts include work with Birch Wathen Lenox School, Syracuse University, Education Alliance, Homes for Hope, Juvenile Diabetes, Cycle for Survival and other cancer-related charities.

  • Represented AECOM in the NY Tri-State market in five separate transactions totaling 500,000 sq. ft.

Research Foundation of the City University of New York
