Ajay Kalra

Ajay Kalra, a Managing Director and Market Leader for Iowa, overseeing business operations and all Advisory Service lines of business, including leasing, sales, debt and structured finance, valuation, and property management. He leads CBRE’s office in Des Moines.

Prior to being hired as Managing Director, Ajay served as a Senior Investment Manager at the Iowa-based real estate firm LCS Real Estate, which manages $3 billion in assets and services over 12,000 units across 54 communities in 21 states. There, he assisted with the company’s investment strategies, performed financial analysis, conducted market research and managed several senior living properties across the country. He also was responsible for the company’s quarterly valuation processes, managed and maintained LCS Real Estate’s internal database and provided fiscal updates to capital partners.

Alongside his commercial real estate experience, Ajay previously served as a Regional Manager at Keurig Dr Pepper, where he managed 30 branches throughout the Midwest and oversaw a $400 million budget. Earlier in his career, he was a Pricing Manager at Ruan Transportation Management Systems and was responsible for the management, administration, and execution of financial results regarding pricing activities for new and existing customers.

Ajay is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance.
