Alex Sagues

Alex Sagues oversees a seven-person Urban Retail team, which focuses on representation and consulting for best-in-class landlords and tenants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Alex and the Urban Retail Team are called on for their exceptional consulting work for assets in need of repositioning, assets needing a fresh perspective and large national scale developments.

Alex and his team are known for researching and discovering innovative and unique restaurant and retail concepts to complement the needs of the projects the Urban Retail Team represents. He is particularly passionate about food and restaurant-focused assignments, although his dedication to uncovering new and exciting retail concepts, particularly those thriving through omni-channel and experiential endeavors, is often noted.

Alex and his team have focused their leasing and consulting work on large, complex mixed-use projects. Notable leasing assignments include:

• Thrive City at Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors Arena in San Francisco
• Mission Rock, the San Francisco Giants 28-acre development in San Francisco
• Pier 70, a large mixed-use development in San Francisco
• Springline in Menlo Park, one of the most significant food and beverage projects in the Bay Area

Additionally, Alex and his team have helped retailers including Max Mara, St. John, New Balance, Abercrombie & Fitch, Mejuri, Dyptique, The North Face, Vans, CAMP, Luminaire, Saatva, Barry’s Bootcamp, Solidcore, Kindbody, Proper Food, The Epicurean Trader, Blue Bottle Coffee, Arsicault Bakery, and many others create and execute local, regional, and national retail expansion strategies and transactions.

Alex Sagues graduated the United States Military Academy, West Point, in 2013, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and joined the Infantry Branch of the U.S. Army in 2013. After completing Infantry Officer Basic Leader Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, and Ranger School, he joined the 82nd Airborne Division and served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer and as the 82nd Airborne Division Higher Headquarters Battalion Assistant Operations Officer.
