Andreas Sakellaris leads CBRE Energy’s European client engagements across renewable energy and power transactions, advising corporations and manufacturers across the region on structuring power deals that reduce costs and manage risk. Andreas brings deep expertise in navigating diverse regulatory environments and complex market structures, helping clients execute energy strategies across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
With a track record of closing over $5B in power transactions across 20 countries, Andreas brings extensive experience structuring PPAs and distributed generation projects throughout Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. Fluent in eight languages including Spanish, Portuguese, and French, he has negotiated power agreements in markets spanning the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Austria, Czech Republic, and Belgium. Before joining CBRE Energy, Andreas founded an energy advisory business that implemented power projects for global manufacturers including Emirates Global Aluminium, Pacific Steel Group, Holcim, and GlobalFoundries. He previously held roles at Holcim, Bain & Company, Schlumberger, and energy startups Aqylon and LevelTen.
Andreas's approach focuses on innovative deal structures that balance cost reduction, sustainability objectives, and long-term resilience for clients operating across international markets. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and a Master's degree in Renewable Energy Science from Ecole Polytechnique.
