Andrew Goldberg is the first-ever retail service professional to be named Vice Chairman in the history of CBRE. A member of the firm’s New York Tri-State Region Retail Brokerage Services Group, Mr. Goldberg partners with property owners and major retailers on real estate requirements from flagship lease negotiations to national retail strategies. With over 25 years of experience, he has completed hundreds of transactions together valued at approximately $5 billion, and his proven expertise in landlord and tenant representation, lease negotiations, market and financial analysis and store placement strategy makes him a go-to advisor for clients both in the region and across the country.

His negotiation of Gucci Group’s lease at Trump Tower in Manhattan—one of the most valuable retail deals ever completed—on behalf of the Trump Organization earned him the Most Creative Deal of the Year. In a recent deal seen as a game-changer that redefines the northern boundaries of Herald Square, Mr. Goldberg represented Empire State Realty Trust in Urban Outfitters’ 60,000-sq.-ft. Lifestyle Center at the former 1333 Broadway.
Prior to CBRE, his accomplishments as Executive Managing Director of the Insignia/ESG Retail Group earned him a place on the Real Estate New York “40 under 40” list and a “Top 50 Dealmaker” designation from Real Estate Weekly.
Mr. Goldberg’s knowledge of his clients’ unique brands, his capacity for understanding space from the customer’s point of view and his ability to bring the same high level of detail to each of his team’s assignments have earned him an unmatched reputation for assisting major national specialty retailers in satisfying their real estate requirements. He currently serves as exclusive North American representative for such prestigious retailers as Tiffany & Co. and Valentino, as well as representing Max Mara, Balmain and Bally of Switzerland in the U.S.
Equally impressive is Mr. Goldberg’s experience with high-profile owners. Along with his partners, he manages one of New York City’s most successful owner representation retail practices, encompassing millions of square feet of retail space for owners including Tishman Speyer Properties, Empire State Realty Trust, The Trump Organization, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. His work with Host Hotels & Resorts at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square positioned him on top of one of the largest retail deals in New York City.
