Associated Office
Andrew Knauer is Executive Vice President of CBRE’s Global Hotel Asset Management practice and is primarily responsible for providing best-in-class asset management services for a portfolio of hotel investments on behalf of CBRE’s clients with total asset value exceeding $1B. Mr. Knauer also co-leads business development efforts and pursuing new mandates, working alongside Ms. Grigg in the growth of the platform.
Mr. Knauer brings 15 years of extensive hotel asset management experience across all major brands and chain scales. Prior to joining CBRE in 2023, he served as Senior Vice President of Asset Management at JLL, leading a portfolio of luxury, full-service and lifestyle hotel assets for institutional clients, where he was responsible for client and investor reporting, coordination of all financial analyses, facilitation of operating/capital expenditure budgets and execution of value-add and strategic initiatives. Prior to JLL, Mr. Knauer led the asset management platform at Schulte Hospitality Group and previously held asset management positions with Eagle Point Hotel Partners and Beacon Hospitality Partners. He began his career in investment sales before joining the hospitality group at investment banking firm, Rockwood Real Estate Advisors.
Mr. Knauer’s asset management experience includes iconic hotels such as The Plaza New York and The New York Palace. Other noteworthy hotels under Mr. Knauer’s leadership has included Dream Downtown New York, LondonHouse Chicago, Thompson Washington D.C., The Godfrey Hotel Boston, W Hotels & Residences Boston, The Porter Portland, The LINE San Francisco, The James New York, ink48 Hotel, Arlo (NoMad & Hudson Square), Hyatt Place/House Charleston, among others. Notable clients include Katara Hospitality, Union Investment, Starwood Capital Group, Dune Real Estate Partners, Prudential Real Estate Investors and Dorchester Collection.
