Executive Group President, Strategic Occupier Accounts

Professional Experience

Mr. Kupiec oversees Strategic Occupier Accounts, a group that is focused on deeply understanding large occupier clients’ needs and connecting them to CBRE’s capabilities across the company’s four business segments. Its areas of focus include account management, solutioning and sales, strategic consulting services and portfolio services/lease administration.

Previously, he led Occupier Solutions across the Advisory & Transaction Services and Global Workplace Solutions business segments.

Before that, Mr. Kupiec served as Chief Operating Officer, Americas for CBRE’s Advisory Services business. In this role, he drove strategic initiatives, Operational Excellence, Sales Management and the integration of data and technology into the Advisory business.

He earlier served as Chief Executive Officer of Hana, CBRE’s flexible-space solutions offering, which was transferred to Industrious in 2021 as part of CBRE’s equity investment in that firm. Mr. Kupiec helped implement the global strategic commercial partnership between CBRE and Industrious, which became a wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE in early 2025.

Mr. Kupiec joined CBRE in 2017 as Global President, CBRE 360 (now CBRE Host).

Prior to CBRE, he was North America Vice President, Chief Operating Officer for Zipcar, the world’s largest car sharing and urban mobility company. At Zipcar, Mr. Kupiec developed and scaled a leading-edge digitally based capability within a large, traditional Fortune 500 company, and added executive operational responsibility for the Avis and Budget urban rental footprint, leading a multi-brand $2 billion annual line of business. Earlier in his career, he held several leadership positions at Clearwire and Cintas.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is completing a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Cabrini University.
