Austin Summy

Austin Summy serves as a Senior Vice President at CBRE on the Senior Housing Capital Markets team, where he is a key contributor to investment sales and capital markets advisory services. Mr. Summy brings over a decade of experience in real estate private equity, with a strong focus on senior housing.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Summy spent nearly a decade at Virtus Real Estate Capital, most recently as a Director. He served primarily in an acquisitions role, playing a central part in sourcing, underwriting, and executing over $700 million in senior housing transactions. Over time, he also assumed leadership of the firm’s asset management function for a $1 billion portfolio of senior housing, medical office, and life sciences properties.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Summy held acquisitions roles at a large multifamily operator, where he led the underwriting and acquisition of over 2,000 multifamily units across Texas.

Mr. Summy holds a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, with a focus on Investment Management and Financial Markets/Banking. He is a member of the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) Rising Leaders Council.
