Basia Huss-Kaniewska serves as the Chief Business Transformation Officer at CBRE, where she oversees the company’s most critical enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. In this role, she leads large-scale, complex projects that align with CBRE’s long-term strategic objectives, driving innovation and operational excellence across the organization.
Basia also heads CBRE’s Business Services Organization (BSO), a global team of over 3,000 professionals. Under her leadership, the BSO functions as a centralized hub for streamlining and standardizing financial and accounting operations, enabling CBRE’s business lines to focus on their core competencies and client service.
Since joining CBRE in 2008, Basia has held several key leadership roles. She played a pivotal role in establishing and managing the EMEA Business Services Center, where she led efforts in platform standardization, automation, and operational transformation. Her collaborative approach and strategic insight have been instrumental in supporting CBRE’s broader business goals.
Before CBRE, Basia held leadership roles at JLL, where she built and led a centralized Client Accounting team serving European and global clients. She began her career at DuPont, working in accounting and internal audit.
In July 2021, Basia was appointed Head of the BSO, where she has since led the transformation of the BSO into a truly global structure. She introduced a forward-looking strategy that positioned the BSO as a key competitive advantage for CBRE, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for growth and efficiency.
