With a forward-thinking approach to market positioning and asset optimization, Barry plays a pivotal role in overseeing a 2.5 million-square-foot office portfolio spanning the Westshore, Tampa CBD, and Gateway submarkets. His ability to synthesize market intelligence with client objectives enables him to craft leasing strategies that drive sustained occupancy, elevate asset performance, and unlock long-term value for institutional and private ownership groups.
Barry’s career is defined by a deep-rooted understanding of the commercial real estate lifecycle, from acquisition and development to leasing and asset repositioning. He began his journey in Washington, D.C., specializing in tenant representation, before relocating to Tampa in 1990. There, he joined The Wilson Company as Director of Asset Services, where he was entrusted with a 3 million-square-foot portfolio that included some of the region’s most iconic assets—Bayport Plaza, the Carillon Office Park, and Fountain Square. In this capacity, Barry led cross-functional teams across property management, leasing, and capital projects, consistently aligning operational execution with ownership vision and investment strategy.
Prior to joining CBRE, Barry served as Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield from 2008 to 2019, where he was instrumental in leasing over 4 million square feet of office space on behalf of a diverse roster of landlords. His reputation for navigating complex negotiations, fostering collaborative broker relationships, and delivering measurable results has positioned him as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in the Tampa Bay commercial real estate market. Barry’s leadership is marked by a commitment to excellence, a data-informed mindset, and a relentless focus on creating value through every phase of the real estate cycle.
