Bob Gutzman, MAI, is a Senior Vice President and has been engaged in commercial real estate valuation and consulting services since 1993. He is a member of the Valuation & Advisory Services Group in Downton Los Angeles and is also a member of CBRE’s National Litigation Support Practice. Mr. Gutzman’s valuation experience includes all of California. He has also completed appraisal/consulting assignments in Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, etc.

Mr. Gutzman has experience providing real estate appraisals, consultations, and reviews for attorneys, financial institutions, developers, individual and corporate property owners, and governmental agencies. His appraisal experience encompasses a wide variety of property types including office buildings, retail centers, industrial properties, multi-family buildings (including low-income), golf courses, self-storage facilities, hospitality properties, gas stations, auto dealerships, vacant land (including underwater land parcels), skilled-nursing and assisted-living facilities, single-family residences, schools, studios, subdivisions, easements, and special-purpose properties.

He has extensive litigation experience having completed appraisals for bankruptcy and foreclosure, eminent domain actions, title defect cases, class actions, property tax appeals, rental disputes, arbitrations, and easements. He has also testified as an expert witness in U.S. District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and California State Superior Court in real estate appraisal (civil and criminal court) and in forensic economics (civil court).

Prior to joining CBRE in 1993, Mr. Gutzman was an economist/expert witness in forensic economics.
