Robert E. James, Jr., MAI, SRA, AI-GRS

Robert E. James, Jr., MAI, SRA, AI-GRS is a Certified General licensed appraiser working in the California Region since 1986. He has extensive experience in valuing all areas of income producing properties, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily residential, agricultural, and vacant land. He has prepared appraisal and review work for lenders, law firms, insurance companies, CPA’s, and private investors. He currently appraises properties in the Central Valley markets of Fresno, Bakersfield, Visalia, Madera, Merced, Oakhurst, San Luis Obispo, Hanford, and Los Banos.

Prior to joining CBRE, he was Associate Vice President and Senior Market Analyst for the Capital Markets group of Fairfield Residential, LLC. He is a third generation appraiser from Southern California working many years in a family appraisal firm.

He has recently served on the San Diego Chapter of the Appraisal Institute board of directors as Education Chairperson and Director. He was the 2020 Chairperson of the Central Valley branch chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He is a Board Member for the Northern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.

He holds the MAI, SRA and AI-GRS designations from the Appraisal Institute.
