Professional Experience

Brendan Biddlecom is Managing Director of CBRE's Energy Procurement Services, where he leads a global team advising corporate clients on reducing costs and managing risk across deregulated power and gas markets. Under his direction, the team combines strategic market intelligence, proprietary analytics, and disciplined risk management to deliver transparent, data-driven guidance that puts clients in control of their energy spend.

A 20-year veteran of deregulated energy markets, Brendan has built deep expertise in strategic procurement of both traditional and renewable power, price risk mitigation, and demand management. Before joining CBRE, he held leadership roles at Calpine, where he launched innovative energy cost risk management solutions, and NRG, where he spearheaded some of the industry's first aggregator-driven demand response programs. His technical command of market structures, pricing dynamics, and regulatory frameworks enables him to guide clients toward opportunities and contract structures that deliver savings while shielding them from price volatility and budget uncertainty.

Brendan's leadership philosophy centers on empowering clients with the intelligence and tools to make informed decisions in complex, fast-moving markets. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and completed Master's-level coursework in corporate sustainability at York University's Faculty of Environmental Studies and Schulich School of Business.
