Bret Niemann is an experienced real estate executive, with a proven track record of leadership in Facilities Management, Project Management and Account Operations. Bret provides his clients with a thorough and innovative perspective on team performance, financial accountability and client satisfaction.

Currently, Bret is the Regional Director for the Americas business on CBRE’s Microsoft account. Bret oversees Facilties Management, Operations & Engineering, Project Management, and Transaction Management across US, Canada and Latin America.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Leads +900-person team, across the Americas, as well as the Puget Sound Campus Headquarters
  • Responsible for all aspects of client relationship
  • Drives team integration with CBRE platform and best practices
  • Responsible for all aspects of integration and Tier 1 service delivery

Prior to assuming the Americas Regional Director role, he held the Global Alliance Director, Sr. Director Facilities and Account Operations roles for the Microsoft FM business. He successfully integrated the CBRE culture and best practices into the legacy model in the Americas and EMEA.

Before the Microsoft Account, Bret was responsible for the Facilities Management service delivery for the Sprint account in Overland Park, Kansas. He led the CBRE/Sprint FM team through the outsourcing transition/transformation and established the CBRE FM delivery model.

Preceding Sprint, Bret was the Director of Facilities Management on the Washington Mutual Account. In this role, he led the facility management and operations teams that were responsible for the delivery of integrated facilities services for the account portfolio. His responsibilities included management for the general operations of the account’s Facilities Service Center, oversight of the Data Centers and Critical Environments, Health Safety and Environmental, Life Cycle, Energy Program and the Engineering/Operations department.

During his 17-year tenure with CBRE, Bret has held various tactical, regional, and strategic global leadership roles. His experience in the field managing retail, administrative, low- to high-rise, and mission-critical facilities (including enterprise data centers), and his ability to build rapport with employees, customers, colleagues and business partners has made him a successful and effective leader.
